Although Vox is best known in the music history books for their legendary guitar amps (used by The Beatles, Queen, U2, Tom Petty and numerous other artists) and organs (the sound of The Doors as played by Ray Manzarek), the company also made guitars during the 1960s. Although some British guitarists like Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones used them on occasion, Vox guitars never caught on with players compared with their amps, and were discontinued by the 1970s.

In the 1990s, Vox had a resurgence of popularity, thanks to their added marketing clout from Japanese keyboard company Korg. In anticipation of launching a reissue of their guitar line along with new models, Vox began marketing accessory merchandise. Guitar straps were a part of this campaign. The new Vox guitars garnered some fans, most notably Prince.

The Vox leather strap here is in excellent condition and has only been used 5 times with an acoustic guitar. At roughly 30 years old, this strap is as close to new condition as can be, short of being new old stock.

The classic gold Vox logo is stenciled on to the gloss black finish. Like classic eather straps of old, there are no metal or plastic parts, and the length adjustments are made by loops in the leather beltlike end part of the strap.  The nylon cord for use with acoustic guitars lacking a strap pin will be included.  Happy bidding!
