Vtg 30s 1931 Eveready Wallite Hanging Portable Closet Light Art Deco Oval Works

Vintage Eveready Wallite, a portable, battery-powered light for closets and other small spaces not wired for electricity. It could be hung by a nail for temporary use or mounted more permanently with screws. Cover comes off easily to change batteries (2 "D" cells). This one dates from 1931 or possibly 1932. Ivory with brass-tone trim. This particular model has the frosted glass lens with decorative rosette. Good, reliable switch that works when pulled in any direction with brass chain attached. Instructions on the back.

Dimensions are 5 3/8" by 4 1/2" with a projection of about 2 1/4".

Tested and working. This Wallite is in very good condition and it retains its original look with the ivory paint in great shape. One scratch on the side opposite the switch (see last photo). Glass is perfect. Back shows some evidence of use and a little rust (photo 9).

Payment within three days of first invoice.
