Object: Lidded Japanese Arita bowl (or "chawan") from the mid-Edo period (1770-90), decorated in underglaze blue.


Decoration: A couple sitting in a garden; a Chinese poem.


Size: Diameter 11 cm (4.5"), height 9.5 cm (4").

Marks: None.

State: One "kintsugi" gold repair (see pictures).
