Terry M Rudkin 1935- 1996 served in the RAF at Coltishall Norfolk until the 1950s. He the enrolled at Norwich School of Art and studied drawing under the acclaimed artist Leslie Davenport. From the early 1960’s he had a series of successful exhibitions in Norwich and his paintings were selected to hang in exhibitions at the Mall Galleries in London. He eventually became a full time artist in 1985, at the age of 50. His paintings his paintings attracted collectors and also important commissions. Many being of local Norfolk and Norwich scenes, one commission involved two hundred paintings depicting local scenes for two prestigious newly built Hotels in Norwich. He also had a fascination for the works by van Gogh following trips to Provence, from this he held a special centenary tribute “Thank you Vincent” exhibition in 1990.


This lovely watercolour, painted on sepia paper, shows the historic Pulls Ferry in Norwich, from Lower Close in Norwich Cathedral Close. Beautifully done with a hint of sun and shadows. It is very faintly signed in pencil in the bottom left and has the title along the bottom in the frame. Framed in slim, shabby gilt and red wood and with white and beige mounts
