By the late '60s he had already released enough records to earn himself a place among the best Brazilian songwriters of all time, but luckily his career didn't end there and he continued to release in the decades that followed and decades to the present day. In the mid '70s he settled in Los Angeles, tired of living under the Brazilian military dictatorship, and began collaborating with artists as talented as Leon Ware or Chicago.

This 1983 self-titled LP is the follow-up to the great »Vontade de rever você« (1981) and his second album after returning to Brazil. It showcases all the musical influences he received during his time in the US, primarily boogie, soul and funk, with high profile collaborators: Lincoln Olivetti & Robson Jorge on keyboards and guitar and Leon Ware on backing vocals.

The opening track, Brazilian boogie anthem 'Estrelar', is devoted to workout exercises under the sun, and Valle paints a beachy and summery vibe throughout the album, detailing his surfing days in Southern California. A couple of Valle's early classic songs 'Samba De Verao' and 'Viola Enluarada' are updated here and pair well with soaring disco tracks, 'Para Os Filhos De Abraao', boogie boogie killer numbers, 'Dia D', and the blissful instrumentals ›Naturalmente‹. And the list goes on and on across a balanced tracklist that satisfies both listening pleasure and dancefloor needs.
