We are offering a Program of the Twenty-eighth Annual Convention and Hardware Exhibition of the New England Hardware Dealers' Association, Mechanics Building, Boston [Massachusetts].  February 21, 22 and 23, 1921.  (5" x 7", 24-page booklet, bound with cord) It begins with the Plymouth Pilgrims Salutation, an 8-verse poem by William Franklin Atwood of Cambridge, Massachusetts dedicated to his son William Bradford Atwood, descendant of the Plymouth Pilgrims.  Next are the names of the association's officers.

The "Convention" portion of the program, with a question box session, was held each morning in Paul Revere Hall.  The "Exhibition" portion was held in the afternoons and evenings in Exhibition Hall, with performances by Waltham Watch Company Band, Salem Cadet Band and Whitcomb's Concert Band.  The Annual Banquet was held on the evening of February 22, accompanied by a musical performance by Miss Edna Simmons' Ladies' Orchestra.  15 Dances are listed - Waltzes, One-Step, Two-Step, and Fox-Trots (with no names filled in).  Every morning/afternoon while the men were at the Exhibition, the Ladies had a "George Washington" Breakfast, a Box Luncheon and a Whist Party at the Ladies' Parlor in Paul Revere Hall, and later a Theatre Party at Park Square Theatre.

There are 3 pages listing over one-hundred hardware companies that were showing their products at Exhibition Hall, companies mostly located in Massachusetts, but also many from other states - including Aluminum Cooking Utensil Co., Auto Vacuum Freezer Co., American Steel Ladder Co., Central Oil & Gas Stove Co., Chadwick-Boston Lead Co., Corning Glass Works, Dayton Moneyweight Seale Co., Easter Clay Goods Co., National Stamping & Enameling Co., Sherwin-Williams Co., Ohio Varnish Co., Union Tool Co., just to name a few.  Also, Burns Detective Agency and Watts Detective Agency (maybe providing undercover detectives for stores to watch employees who may be stealing ??)
