ASAHI PENTAX MV-1 35mm SLR CAMERA + SMC M50/2 LENS The ASAHI PENTAX MV-1 is a part of the popular and hugely successful Pentax 'M' family of 35mm film SLR cameras. Introduced in 1980 as an updated and improved replacement for the original Pentax MV with the introduction of a self-timer and the opportunity of being able to attach the Pentax Winder ME II to the camera. It is a compact and lightweight fully automatic Aperture Priority (Av) 35mm SLR camera with excellent handling and reliability. Recommended as an easy to use introductory SLR or as a back-up for another SLR. It can accept various M-series accessories including SMC PENTAX-M series lenses and the Winder MEII. The 1/100s and (B)ulb shutter speeds are mechanical so can still be used even if the batteries are dead. CONDITION OF CAMERA A tested and fully working example of the Asahi Pentax MV-1… The internal light meter is responsive and is accurate. The shutter is firing well at all speeds. The mode selector dial, ASA selector dial, mirror mechanism and film transport mechanism are all working correctly. The view through the viewfinder window is clear and the focusing screen is in unmarked and clean (image provided in the gallery). The foam light seals and mirror damper foam have been replaced with new (using high quality material from Japan Hobby Tool). This Asahi Pentax MV-1 is is in excellent cosmetic condition for its age… I have tried to accurately capture the condition of this camera so... please view the gallery picturesor full confirmation of its cosmetic condition.
