This is a beautifully carved stone pillar with stone circular top with carved finial. The wider parts of the base ( top and bottom) measure 330mm x 330mm and the central pillar is 250mm x 250mm. The overall height is 900mm. the top is circular and is separate from the base, though linked with a metal spike. They were originally joined with a mortar compound in addition to the spike.
This was reclaimed from a disused burial ground ( in my ownership).
It is made from a hard Yorkshire stone and the condition can be best described as weathered, and on a couple of sides there is small amount of flaking stone.
I have owned it for more than twenty years, but now have nowhere suitable to locate in my garden.
It is very heavy, and only available for collection, or by collection with organised transport.
