A Wedgwood GROUPS pattern rose  platter in perfect condition. Dating from 1940, the pattern consists of a flower and foliage landscape, with a bird on a bough, at the centre, with foliage and butterflies around the rippled rim. The platter measures 37xcm (145in) long by 28.5cm (11.25in) wide. The underside  has the WEDGWOOD OF ETRURIA & BARLASTON logo printed,, together withthe GROUPS name. The date code 4Q49 is impressed.
