now reverted back to a standard filter in place of the K&N I had
installed prior to my own car's full resto'. Oiled filters are fine & can produce you say 1% extra power, but
over time they allow a fine film layer of that oil into/onto the MAF
sensor/wire and you end up with poor running, accelerating & idling problems. You then must only use
specialised (i.e. not cheap) MAF sensor cleaner fluid, along with the extra phaff to dissassemble/reassemble everything. Using a standard
filter totally eliminates that issue & additional expense.. A hard to find Ford original part. ---------------- I post
