Returns: It is extremely rare that anybody ever changes their mind.We do not accept any returns on a bespoke item ''bespoke defined as’’ :  being altered from its original reclaimed condition’’ some examples, but not limited to: loose bitumen scraped off or removed, full bitumen removed, tongue removed, cleaned or re machined etc – once ordered. We are also not obliged to accept returns or refund on any second-hand item or an older unfitted item, for example something that has never been fitted, but has age to it as its been stored for years. We will however exchange these items or offer to re sell for you and the cost of any return postage will be at the cost of yourselves.  Any brand-new items that have physically been viewed and ordered will not qualify for a refund, but we will offer an exchange or offer to re-sell for you.

Bitumen removal: Where bitumen removal is stated in the listing, this means that the bitumen will be removed from the underside of the parquet flooring. Underside being referred to as any part of the parquet block that touches the ground directly. We do not remove the bitumen from the edges/ends or t&g ''(if applicable''). We remove the bitumen sufficiently enough for you to re-lay the floor without any prior preparation to the underside. Where we have scraped the bitumen from the backs of parquet, there will be black staining on the underside.

Depths: With all reclaimed parquet flooring blocks, there may be a degree of variation in the thickness/depth from one block to another. Some batches of parquet may have only the odd block which differs, other batches may have the standard and expected 1mm to 2mm variation, but others may have up to 4 - 5 mm variation, which is around industry standard.  If there is going to be a massive variation in depth, we would advise in the listing. Variation of depth is perfectly normal and should not deter you or your fitter from fitting them at all. Any reputable floor fitter who is accustom to fitting a reclaimed floor should be able to sufficiently deal with reclaimed block variation differs.

Tongue and Grooves / Edges: With most reclaimed flooring, some if not all of the t&g may be damaged below the surface. This is of absolute no detriment to the overall floor and will not at all prevent you from successfully fitting the floor. With the adhesives on the market today, in our opinion, a tongue is of absolute no importance to a floor. In most cases where parquet is sent to us for bitumen removal, we are in 80% of cases asked to remove the tongue and make the t&g block in to a straight edge block.  Unless stated, we do not clean out the t&g nor do we clean the outer edges of t&g or straight edge blocks.   If you do require any of these services, please ask and we will be happy to assist.  Some of the flooring may have been secretley nailed through the t&g, if this is the case, we remove the nails, but this does leave a little damage to the underside, which does NOT prevent you fitting the blocks in any way and most parquet floors reclaimed have some underside damage, which will never been seen once fitted, nor does it make the floor unstable in any way.
