Here's a Nice Vintage 35mm Film SLR Camera from the mid or late 1960's--- made by Asahi Pentax, the Spotmatic II, or SP II was a predecessor to the legendary Pentax K1000.   It comes with a 35mm f/3.5 Super Takumar lens with an M42 screwmount, is a bit of rare variant I think.  This is a great Camera for an SLR camera collection, or a purist to shoot with!

It's in Excellent Cosmetic Condition--- the Exterior is very nice--- only a few very small slight blemishes. Nothing that would be considered damage--- although there is a very tiny ding on the prism housing and the flash shoe on top is loose.

Technically.... without being a camera store technician, I can tell you it winds smoothly, and the shutter fires at different speeds, but there are two issues--- 1) the mirror sticks up at the slowest speeds and 2) I don't know if the light meter inside works, because it needs a very small battery that I don't have.  Perhaps that could also be the reason why the mirror sticks up?   But the camera shoots without a battery--- it's a mechanical shutter---- and the mirror cycles fine when you wind to the next frame.  But still... it doesn't seem normal relative to later model SLR's.  The Lens glass is in Excellent condition as well--- very clean with sharp coatings, maybe a couple specs of dust inside---- but clean and clear, no serious scratches front and back--- not much wear to the exterior--- except for some nicks on the front edge and a little paint wear on the knurling. The aperture is clean with No oil leakage and the focus is smooth and working fine.  Inside the film chamber of the camera it's also very clean as well.

Also included is the Case in super nice condition, a Sklylight filter and a very comprehensive Instruction Manual.

THIS is a nice collector piece and might be perfectly usable with some servicing.  So it's Bargain Priced.

PLEASE READ--- By Buying you Agree with this--- I am not a store like Amazon. I'm just an old camera collector/shooter selling some Used items.  If you read all of the description you'll see I took the time to check out the item and give you an honest description.   But that said, and because eBay sux, I can't have things go back and forth based on opinion, or risk "part swapping" either.  I've been a photographer for 30+ years and I know how cameras work and what to look for and can recognize when something is broken.  But I can't "Bench Test" everything to factory specs, and understand every little bell and whistle. So I'm sorry, I can't sell this item on Approval--- it's being sold As Is, No Warranty, No Buyer's Remorse, No Try-outs, No Returns---- being sold As Is with disclosed flaws (and possibly others).   Since it's Not Brand New...  I can't guarantee that every single aspect may be Perfect... especially since it's a 50+ year old item!  (and if it was brand new the price would be 200% higher)  Any significant defects that I know of are either pictured or described to the best of my knowledge and I try to be detailed and truthful, but I can't describe every every millimeter of it.   As expected with age, a used vintage camera could be found with a nick or blemishes here and there or a few additional specs of dust inside that I failed to mention, particularly inside the viewfinder... but they won't affect the photos and would hardly diminish it... unless you expect everything to be 100% Perfect.   And I can't let people buy something, play with it, break it and then say it arrived that way.  I'm an honest guy, but there are many buyers who aren't.   What you see is what you'll get and I package my items well, so it arrives in the same condition as shown.

SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE Interesting Items---- I'll be selling a large portion of my camera collection over the next few months, so check back and/or tell me what you're looking for. If you have questions about this or other items or combined shipping or other discounts---- please ask... Let's make a deal. Thanks
