“Dawn Of The Dead” (German) was released in 1978. "Zombie") is the successor to George A. Romero's then 10-year-old classic "Night Of The Living Dead". In terms of filmmaking, Romero's works have since become classics, but the soundtracks also enjoy cult status.

For »Dawn Of The Dead« Romero worked for the first time with the Italian composer Claudio Simonetti and his Goblin project. Goblin had already made an excellent name for themselves in previous years when they wrote the soundtracks for, for example, “Profondo Rosso” and “Suspiria”.

Now the 40th anniversary soundtrack is released in an upgraded version. In addition to the ten original pieces, the double CD contains three live versions and six remixes. The LP version contains the ten original and three live pieces. The limited (199) box contains the double CD, the vinyl version, two poster inserts, a comic (Hotel La Muerte), a postcard, a doorstop, a T-shirt and a bag.

This extensive three-LP set contains the complete De Wolfe Library Cues from Romero's 1978 zombie classic for the first time on vinyl. This special release of the iconic Dawn Of The Dead soundtrack features the US Theatrical Soundtrack, including "Cause I'm A Man" by British band Pretty Things, as well as fan favorite "The Gonk" by composer Herbert Chappell.

George A. Romero's Dawn Of The Dead is considered one of the best and most captivating zombie films of all time, offering horror, horror and social commentary on material society. Roger Ebert gave the film four out of four stars and called it "one of the best horror films ever made." The film was selected as one of the 500 Greatest Films of All Time by Empire magazine in 2008. It was also featured in The Best 1000 Movies Ever Made list published by The New York Times.
