This is a YAESU FT-817/818 BASE with a built-in POWER POLE SOCKET (radio NOT included).  This design keeps the Yaesu fragile power socket from getting damaged and leaves the back of the radio very open for other accessories.  The size and angle of the base brings the front of the radio up off the desk so you can easily read the display and reach the knobs.  The underside of the radio remains open so you can access the battery compartment.  The Power Pole Socket is recessed to save distance behind the radio and uses the ARRL suggested layout.  The base has 4 rubber 3M feet to keep it from sliding around on a table.  Included are the 4 correct screws to properly secure the base to the radio.
