NICE Civil War US / Union / Federal 3" Schenkl Case Shot Artillery Shell Fragment Cut-In Half. Dug at Petersburg, Virginia. Mounted on a unique wooden mount and is removable.  This is a great example of what the interior looks like of a "Combination" fused case shot round. The Combination fuse had two features. It was intended to be a "time" fuse but if the time fused failed, the shell would explode on "impact". Shell has been cleaned and coated with polyurethane. Great display piece for any artillery shell collection. Item will ship USPS Priority Flat Rate Mail. Thanks for looking. Be sure to see my other military related items.

I do combine shipping. Please request an invoice before paying if you order two or more items in the same day.
