Rare original antique print from an 1890s illustrated journal. It depicts a girl in a wheelchair/pram with her mother on the beach. Her dog carlo offers comfort. He appears to be a Newfoundland or St. Bernard dog. The caption reads: "My Dear Carlo, though I cannot play like other children, I have the constant pleasure of your dear, kind friendship and love. "
That's what therapy dogs are all about.
The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10 x 14 inches (25.5 x 35.5 cm). The picture fills most of it, measuring about 8.55 x 10.25 inches, with a caption below it.
The page is in excellent condition for its age, except for minor stains in the white margin area of the caption. There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
This print will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
