DMC. Pearl cotton embroidery thread is designed to be used straight from the ball or skein. It is a versatile twisted thread that can be used for a wide range of needlecrafts including crochet and needlepoint.

While embroidery floss is flat and smooth when stitched, pearl cotton has a distinctive twisted look. Floss comes in skeins and cones, while pearl cotton comes in skeins and balls.

NEW OLD STOCK. This is a discontinued yarn. A very fine crewel-type wool. This non-divisible 2-ply wool is mothproof and colorfast, and is perfect for needlepoint, crewel, and other types of embroidery. Suitable for producing the fine and delicate parts of tapestries (notably faces.) Made in France, this yarn is new old stock.

As I find most of my items at estate sales or auctions, I cant' be sure if they have come from smoke or pet free environments.
