This cable is equipped with the 3 pin Amphenol 91-MC3M type of connector that fits the jack for VINTAGE Shure 55 Elvis Mics as well as Fat Boys and other Shure mics from that era. It will also fit the vintage Electrovoice mics because it does not have the key that has to fit in the slot cutout on the jack. Those two companies used to put the keyway in different spots on the jack so you had to use their specific cables.
It does not have the threaded collar but it does fit snug if you are keeping it in one spot like a desk or a studio arm podcast style of mic stand. If I use them for live performances I just put a piece of tape around it if I think it might be moved around a lot. These are also great to test your mics when you don't have the hard to find and expensive 3 pin Amphenol 91-MC3M connectors.
