At the heart of the Movcam 3-Axis System sits the MCS-1 Hand Control Unit. Focus, iris, and zoom can be controlled independently with the handwheel, slider, and pressure-sensitive rocker. Using the license-free 2.4 GHz band, the hand unit can communicate with the receiver from up to 660' away in ideal line-of-sight situations. Dominating the front surface of the unit is a 3.7" touchscreen which shows real-time lens data and is also used for lens data entry and menu settings. Lens data for popular lenses is already programmed into the unit. Information for lenses not already built-in can be manually programmed into the unit by the user using the touchscreen and stored on an SD card for instant recall on any compatible device.
Movcam's MRS-1 Receiver Module for Movcam Wireless Lens Control System
is a single-axis wireless receiver that coupled with the Movcam SCU-1
or MCS Handset and a compatible motor allows you to control the focus,
iris, or zoom rings of your lens. The receiver includes a 15mm rod
adapter, and it features a mounted quick release mechanism that allows
you to mount and dismount the receiver quickly yet securely. The
receiver can operate Movcam lens motors as well as a variety of 3rd
party motors.
Adding two additional MRS-1 receiver modules allows you to control
focus, zoom, and iris with additional motors and controllers. Please
note additional controllers, motors, and receiver-to-motor cables are
required for multiple lens function control; however, they are not
included. The module has an OLED screen that displays information and is
readable in exterior settings. The system as a whole has a transmission
delay of less than 12ms and a wireless range of about 100 feet indoors
and 650 feet outdoors.
Expand your Movcam wireless lens control system with the MD-I Iris Motor Drive Module to enable wireless adjustment of your lens' iris by connecting to a compatible lens motor. The MD-I stacks right onto the separate MRS-1 Receiver Module for a scalable, yet unified solution depending on the number of axes required. The compact form factor of the expanded system won't bulk up smaller rigs. If using the separately available MCS-1 hand unit, the system can be further expanded with the MD-Z to assemble a full 3-axis FIZ control system. The MD-I is compatible with the same Movcam and 3rd party motors as the MRS-1 main unit.
Note: MD-I module will only respond to iris demands from the controller and will not interface with other modules. A full FIZ system requires the MRS-1, MD-I, and MD-Z units.
Expand your Movcam wireless lens control system with the MD-Z Zoom Motor Drive Module to enable wireless adjustment of your lens' zoom by connecting to a compatible lens motor. The MD-Z stacks right onto the separate MRS-1 Receiver Module for a scalable, yet unified solution depending on the number of axes required. The compact form factor of the expanded system won't bulk up smaller rigs. If using the separately available MCS-1 hand unit, the system can be further expanded with the MD-I to assemble a full 3-axis FIZ control system. The MD-Z is compatible with the same Movcam and 3rd party motors as the MRS-1 main unit.
Note: MD-Z module will only respond to zoom demands from the controller and will not interface with other modules. A full FIZ system requires the MRS-1, MD-I, and MD-Z units.
The Movcam UM-3 Digital Motor interfaces with Movcam's wireless follow focus systems. Its relatively slight form factor lends itself to use on rigs both large and small. The integrated rod mount is compatible with 19mm rods, and with the included adapter, 15mm rods as well. The rod mount can be secured to the bottom or the side of the unit itself, granting flexible positioning along the side of your lens.
The D-Tap Power Cable from Movcam measures 21.6” and is designed for use with the Movcam Wireless Lens Control System.
The Remote Hardware Cable from Movcam measures 55” and is designed for the Movcam Wireless Lens Control System.
The Carry Case from Movcam can be used with the separately available Movcam 3-Axis Wireless Lens Control System.
