For the knowledgeable collector, offered here is a rare find, the signed Steuben Shooting Star Prism, a vintage design in authentic new in red box condition.  Perfect for the milestone birthday, anniversary or for your own desk or library table.

This Steuben gem has no scratches, no damage, no nicks or chips, and no display marks to the glass. With hard to find correct original black slate base designed by Steuben especially for this piece.*  It is fully signed Steuben in script on the base bottom edge.  This is an original authentic made in USA at the Steuben factory in Corning NY piece.

This intricately cut, faceted and polished large crystal star block refracts light into it's rainbow spectrum and showcases the purity which original 10M formula Steuben was famous for.

This artwork measures approx. 5" in wide by 5" high with the weight and clarity that Steuben was renown for.  Comes with it's fine original black slate and brushed aluminum stepped tiered base as shown in photo #1, for safe displaying. (There is NO monogram or engraving on the base.) *This is the authentic original base that came with this design and it is very difficult to find this Star Prism with the proper base since the item was often given as a gift and the base was usually engraved for the recipient.)  Other sellers often substitute a non Steuben base without disclosing the substitution, You should look for the authentic original set like this if you expect the design to hold it's value as a collectible.

Steuben Glass was the premier American glass company founded by Frederick Carder in 1903. It ranked as the world's foremost artisan glass house. Handmade by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY, it was frequently the United States' gift of State to foreign dignitaries. Steuben marketed no "seconds," items that did not meet their exacting standards were destroyed by being smashed in a bin. Steuben, a recognized luxury brand and the ultimate in art glass.
