Set of 4 vintage porcelain medallions. They are round and flat. I am not sure what these miniatures were designed to be used for -- brooches? Trinket box or pillbox lids? Mounted in a shadow box?

Each features a design of a courting couple. The man and woman are perhaps preparing to dance. They are dressed in purple and pink Renaissance, Colonial, or Victorian-style attire. Gold trim around edge. They measure approximately 2" in diameter. The art style reminds me of Limoges or Frangonard, but they are marked on the back “Made In Italy”. They are in excellent shape with no chips, cracks, or wear to the design.
