This is a fine and largely original example of a Riley RME. Last on the road (taxed) in 1974, it suffered a head gasket failure and was placed in a farmer's barn. I recovered it from the barn and lightly restored it. After overhauling the brakes and fitting a newly rebuilt engine I have driven/am driving it and everything works fine. I now need space in my garage for another car.

The car is very solid and unmessed around with. The vinyl roof had to be replaced and I chose an unusual green which compliments the bodywork. Front and rear bumpers re-chromed. New carpets. Flashing indicators and original trafficators. Working original Delaney Galley heater (but hose needs plumbing in).  Electric fuel pump but easy to revert back to the original lift pump (I don't have a working one).

Engine completely rebuilt by a Riley RM expert and has excellent cooling and oil pressure.

The only negatives are a bit of cracking in the paint around the windscreen and one of the wheel spats which is a replacement and needs painting. So a bit of painting and tidying up some other minor paint blemishes.

Collection from Cambridge or can arrange delivery at cost. Understandably as this is a 70+ year old car no warranty or return. Payment in advance of collection. V5 present and some bills/receipts for work done including engine rebuild. A bootload of tools and bits and pieces also with the car.

Please ask any questions and review the video (below) before bidding. You are very welcome to come see the car, ride in it, ask questions, kick the tyres, but please remember when you bid online and you subsequently buy the car , you bid to buy the car, not to start negotiations. Thank you.
