The original North American Soccer League, which played from 1968-1984, wasn't the first pro soccer circuit on these shores, but it was extremely influential. Stars like Pele, Franz Beckenbauer, George Best and Giorgio Chinaglia thrilled fans from coast to coast, and their presence helped shape a league that set in motion the soccer boom of the 70s and the soccer environment we enjoy today.

Perhaps the best chronicles of NASL history are the individual team media guides from over the years. In the days before websites and apps, the printed media guide was the best source for information on players, teams, the league, its rules and its results. Now you can own a piece of that mosaic.

You are bidding on the original 1982 media guide of the Chicago Sting. Within its 64 pages are photos and bios of the team's players, the schedule, league standings and stats from the previous year, and more. It is in fair condition.  This was the season after the Sting's first Soccer Bowl title. There is some creasing on the lower right front cover.
