This is an awesome retro plaster/ceramic clown coin bank! Seems there were some repros made in plastic, but this definitely predates that as a plaster/ceramic piece. The slot is on the top of the hat, unlike the repros where you see it on the back.

There is a really cute hand-inscribed note that says "Jeremy" and "Grandma." Clearly a grandma handpainted this for her grandson, which is pretty cool. I actually have a different coin bank listed that I picked up at the same spot that also says "To Jeremy From Grandma" but that one also is inscribed "1984" -- so this has to be from around that time as well. 70s or 80s.

No manufacturing stamp or label.

The piece measures 7.75" tall, has a width of 5" at its widest (at the feet), and a 2.5" depth. Weighs 11.2 ounces.

Still has stopper! Minor wear seen only in a few chips of paint. This is in pretty great shape for a vintage piece.

This would be a great piece to add to your coin/piggy banks collection, to gift to a kid, or to put on display as a stand-alone decor piece. I love the bright colors. The paint has really held up -- it pops!
