Shipments generally are at the post office within 24 hours of payment. I drop envelopes and packages at the post office towards the end of every business day. If you pay in the morning Eastern Standard Time, your package should be on the way that same day. If you pay later in the day it should go out the following business day. Late Saturday and Sunday payments will go out Monday. Of course holidays and weekends can slow down postal deliveries.
