If you don't have a PC with a serial port interface or if you have problems downloading the software from the Marantz website due to possible PC incompatibility, you can easily "teach" the remote with it's learning function capabilities. This is what I did and all my components worked fine. You can have it "learn" all the commands of your remote controls and rearrange the buttons. 
As you can see in the video, I programmed it for my system using it's "learning" capabilities and included button templates. 
The instruction manual is very clear and it has pictures for easy setup and operation.

This package comes compete with the original instruction manual and serial cable for computer programming interfacing. The included rechargeable battery is new and holds it's charge as it should.
