The Baccarat Fairy Lamps were manufactured from  c.1900 - 1905 and came in three colors only - the Rose Tiente, Blue, and Clear...You will be receiving this gorgeous and rare blue in color Fairy Lamp wih the clear Glass candle cup holder insert..

The bottom Plate is embossed Depose Baccarat, the Blue glass shade is unmarked.. The clear glass candle cup holder states the embossed S Clarke Trademark Fairy...

Approximate measurements are: 4.5 inches Height with a 1.75 inch top rim opening, 3.25 inch base diameter to the shade - the bottom plate is 5 5/8 inches rim diameter...

Light signs of previous use and ownership should be expected consistent with age...Previously owned but in mint condition, free of chips, cracks, surface marks - A clean example!!.

Interesting Fact:  Clarke made candles, not fairy lamps...Clarke's family started making candles in 1844.... In 1857, he patented his first "fairy lamp"....He commissioned the fairy lamp production to glass and pottery makers to either make complete lamps or parts such as shades, fittings, and bases. He sold them as a means to entice customers to buy his candles...
