RARE! đź‘€ GUCCI Made In Italy gold print Red Leather Golf Club Head Covers
waxy red leather with softer interior, side-seam mitt shape construction, red cord drawstrings with leather tips to secure on driver, fairway woods, and mashie club heads/hosel/shaft, #1 Black stitched leather numeral, with the second left blank, with #3 in Blue, and #4 in Green, and all four are tethered together by a four-way leash with brass hardware and a brass swivel clip

thicker four-way leash leather is flexible and in good condition–not stiff or brittle, surface appears nice without cracks, the brass hardware shows surface corrosion on the clip though it is still sturdy and functional

red leather head covers show signs of normal use and wear, the head covers are stiffer and less pliable than the leash and I thought maybe the covers were coated to withstand the elements and meant to repel water from light rain to protect the wood golf club heads, I could be wrong, perhaps the leather is simply dried out a little because of its age and not being so thick, the areas around the drawstrings have some splitting with #1 and the blank cover having the most, and #1 shows the most surface discoloration and wear

either way, the leather on the cover mitts is a little stiff but it still has give and take and won't crack or break upon handling

Vintage Antiques circa 1940s 50s, found next to sets of older golf clubs from the 30s to 60s, late 40s or 1950s is best estimate for manufacture date of these Gucci club head covers based on their style and appearance, and the use of nylon cord for the drawstrings which came about in WW2
