The is a Ball Standard Half Gallon Fruit Jar which is a wax sealer.  It is a 3 L, Dropped A, Underlined version.

The jar is made by the brand BALL in Muncie, Indiana. The half gallon is a tougher jar than the quart.  This one has just minor roughness around  the lip.  See pictures
