Artist Peter Noel Perkins 1997 Framed Watercolour Horsey Windpump Norfolk Broads

Measurements including frame 54cm x 44cm

Artist Peter Noel Perkins, mid to later C20th, seemed to have more than one art style, here is the more traditional contemporary watercolour compared to his abstract oils. His work is mostly of landscapes and has completed several of scenes throughout Australia. This 1997 vibrant watercolour shows the very distinctive Horsey Drainage Windmill (or windpump) which is situated in the village of Horsey, close to Gt Yarmouth and on the edge of Horsey Mere. It is the youngest and tallest windmill on the Norfolk Broads and is owned by the National Trust, many people visit to climb to the top for the views. It shows wooden yachts moored and covered along the side of the dyke with a deep blue cloudy sky and deep green trees. Signed and dated in the bottom right corner, framed in heavy shabby red and gold with double mounts of wide cream and slim beige. In very good condition with just some slight wear to the frame, please see photos
