PORTIER CACAO THERMO SMOOTHING is a hair straightener based on cocoa, a typical Brazilian fruit. Composed of Anti-residue Shampoo and Moisturising Mask, it cleanses, treats and moisturises, leaving hair with controlled volume and frizz in a very natural way. Excellent for afro hair, it is compatible with any chemical and hair type and lasts for 3 to 6 months, except for growth. The hair gains lightness, movement and a three-dimensional effect.
WHICH HAIR TYPES SHOULD I USE IT ON? On all hair types, especially afro, frizzy, thick, dry and dehydrated hair.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD IT BE APPLIED? The effect of the product lasts up to 3 months. As it is a chemical process, we recommend reapplying the product only after a period of 3 to 6 months. However, it is possible to touch up when you need special care and discipline for your hair.

IS IT COMPATIBLE WITH ALL CHEMICAL TREATMENTS? Yes, Portier CACAO is compatible with all types of chemicals, guanidine, henne, colouring, bleaching, thioglycolate, etalonanine and sodium hydroxide. Always remember to check the health of the hair and carry out a strand test before starting the process.

TIP For blonde, fragile hair with previous chemical processes, you should always use a low temperature on the sensitised parts due to the saturation of the hair.

HOW TO USE
OPENING THE CUTICLES 1 - Wet the hair and apply the anti-residue shampoo, rubbing it thoroughly through the hair from root to tip, avoiding using your fingernail on the scalp. Rinse the hair and repeat the application of the shampoo for more hair. On the last application, leave it on for a maximum of 20 minutes to check that the cuticles are open. Then rinse your hair thoroughly and blow-dry it 100% from root to tip.

APPLICATION OF THE HYDRATING MASK 1 - Divide the hair into 4 parts: forehead to nape and ear to ear. 2 - Start applying the product, using a comb and brush on one of the parts, passing the product in strands, from bottom to top. 3 - Once the product has been applied to all the hair, blow dry it with cold air at 80% to 100% to allow the alcohol to evaporate without causing discomfort.

ALIGNMENT 1 - Divide the applied section into fine strands, use the board to pre-dry the roots, hold the board, position the comb in front and slowly move down from the roots to the ends, repeating this process 3 times on the same strand. 2 - Do the same for the entire applied section, or for each strand to be sealed.
SEALING THE CUTICLES 1 - To seal the cuticles, you need a wide and a narrow board of good quality, high heat and no opening in the closed position. 2 - Separating the fine strands, pass two boards, one after the other to keep the hair warm, from root to tip, slowly for up to 15 times. 3 - Repeat the whole procedure on the rest of the hair, doing one section at a time.

TIP 1: For perfect results, the hair must be perfectly straightened from root to tip.
TIP 2: For blonde hair, use a flat iron with a maximum temperature of 180º to 200º.
TIP 3: In the case of hair that is going to be bleached, it is necessary to first bleach it and then seal it, followed by tinting.
TIP 4: For retouching dark colours, the application should be done after sealing the cuticles. Light colours (above 8 - light blonde) should be tinted before sealing the cuticles.
TIP 5: For chemically relaxed hair: - Ammonium Thioglycolate and Etalonamine: Cacao can be applied on the same day. - Guanidine and sodium hydroxide: wait a week due to the sensitivity of the scalp. - Henê, Henna: wait 30 days before applying because of the heavy metals.

WASHING THE HAIR
1 - After sealing the cuticles all over the hair, wait 5 minutes and wash the hair with shampoo and conditioner. 2 - Comb the hair and blow dry.
TIP: If your hair is dry due to previous chemical processes, we recommend using the Cacao maintenance post-chemical mask instead of the conditioner.
