 Statue of the Lector Priest Kaaper, known as Sheikh el-Belad (sycamore wood, eyes made from rock crystal rimmed with copper), from his Mastaba C8 in North Saqqara. Old Kingdom, 5th Dynasty, ca. 2494-2345 BC.
