Montegrappa Tertio Millennio Adveniente Limited Edition #1185/1912 Fountain Pen

Purchased in 2002 and has been in my collection since, unused.  The detail of the pen is crafted in silver (925)
with an 18k gold nib.  The stone fitted on top of the cap is a Cornelian.  Below is some information about the pen.

"
Montegrappa's 1998 Limited Edition was conceived with inspiration drawn from the stained-glass window
known as "Le Grazie" located atop the Bernini's "Cathedra" a huge work of art, designed to preserve St. Peter's
high chair.  The lucid "Le Grazie" window illustrates a dove betwixt the sun's rays, a prevalent manifestation
of the Holy Spirit.

This magnum opus is placed inside St. Peter's basilica in the Vatican in Rome.

Once more Montegrappa has demonstrated to be the incipient of combining three different techniques on the
same pen, namely low-relief engraving, enamelling and hand-enhanced die-casting.
The low relief engraving found on the barrel of the pen is three times deeper than normal to accommodate
the enamelling process.

The angels encircling the "Holy Spirit" are left barren to exhibit the intrinsic detail of this masterpiece..............

With the reliable piston feeding mechanism, Montegrappe chose to fit the "Tertio Millennio Adveniente" masterpiece with the biggest nib ever.   A two tone 18K gold nib chiselled with a miniature "Le Grazie" design.  Available in sizes EF,F,M and B for the silver version and 2 sizes, M and B for the gold version. Together with an ebonite feeder, it provides flawless, unsurpassed pleasure of writing.
