Plum Pudding, kit #50, 1997 annual ornament designed by Maureen P. Appleton from The Heart's Content.
Complete kit in special box. Third in a series of collector ornaments. Opened to take photos.

Plum pudding flanked by cross of eyelets on white cake plate with pedestal with "1997" and "noel", row of pulled 4-sided stitches, and simple red border.
Finished as square Christmas (Xmas) ornament with twisted cording.

Finished design size on 26 count natural linen is 3-1/4" by 3-1/2" (if stitched over 1)
or 6-1/2" x 7" (if stitched over 2).

Stitch count 79h x 91w.

Stitches include cross stitches over 1 (option to stitch over 2), single and double eyelets, pulled 4-sided stitches, and backstitches.

From the pattern - "...subtle blend of ...shades creates such detail and clarity when stitched...ONE-OVER-ONE, explained...everything you will need...along with special stitching hints and finishing suggestions...If your eyes will not allow the tiny count, you may certainly stitch the ornament over two linen threads. You will indeed have ample amounts of DMC floss...using either method..."

There are detailed instructions for stitching this over one. Also detailed instructions for laundering and care after the stitching is done and for finishing this into the ornament pictured in the photo.
