A vintage Pennsylvania redware birth plate, sgraffito decorated with a distelfink. The plate was made in 1947 for a child born in 1921, and is signed Spayd. The plate is just over 9.25 inches diameter and is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, just some typical crazing, and there is a tiny glaze rub to the rim (the tip of the pen is pointing to it). I have more pieces by the same redware potter from the late 1940s listed separately and I discount combined shipping. Please see the photos for details. Thank you for looking!
