2 x Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque Colour Champagne Glasses Never Used
The original Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque Glasses were designed in 1902 by Emille Galle. These stunning glasses are 21.5cm tall, the rim is a touch over 5.5cm diameter and the base 7cm diameter.
Featuring the famous Belle Epoque Anenomes as designed by Emille Galle, the shape is a hybrid between a flute and a white wine glass. They are designed to ensure that the bubbles rise and carry the aromas to the surface. The curve of a tulip glass starts with a gradual ascent, it increases into a vertical point so that the bubbles build up on their way to the surface. At it's widest point, a greater surface area creates more bursting bubbles to reveal the aromas. The aromas are then contained within the tapered bulb and don't escape, which allows concentration aeration.
Who ever knew that a wine glass could be so scientific!
None of the glasses have ever been used and are in perfect condition. Please note that the glasses are supplied UNBOXED but are very carefully packed as can be seen in the last two photographs. I want the glasses to reach you in the same perfect condition as they were when they left me.
