+/-20dB adjustment at 60Hz (Bass), 1KHz (Midband), and 8KHz (Treble). Stereo - 2 identical channels Provides up to 20dB linear amplification at flat frequency response setting. Pure linear amplifier, using best LME49720 latest generation opamps with distortion of 0.00006% and S/N ratio of 86dB below a 10mV input, and 106dB below a 100mV input. Input can accommodate voltage levels from 10mV to 2V rms, with impedance of 100 Ohms to 22KOhm, from sources such as CD player, Line OUT , portable players and equipment, microphones ( dynamic, electret, crystal ), video and home entertainment equipment low level audio outputs. Output can drive any power amplifier requiring line inputs of up to 10V rms, or other signal path processing stages. Optional components included for overall gain of 1, 2, 5, and 10. 2-Stage design: a linear amplifier stage ( with gain chosen by user between 1 and 10) and an active filter amplifier (with additional +/-20dB gains at selected frequencies) Optional components included for Dynamic microphone (moving coil) sound amplification with impedance of 1K Includes construction and modification instructions. Instructions also provided for changing the center frequencies of the bands, if desired. Center band components can be omitted, to create a 2-way tone control if desired. Requires a bipolar (dual rail) rectified and filtered power supply of minimum +/- 5V to max +/- 15V . Current draw 20-50mA, depending on supply voltage and load driven. Finished size is 3.75" wide, 2.5" deep, 1.7" high _tone3_
