DESCRIPTION A rare opportunity to acquire an antique porcelain mocha or coffee cup and saucer, 1037, from Royal Copenhagen in the Blue Fluted Full Lace pattern, no. 1. This is an early version of this cup and saucer with the cup standing on 4 feet and is highly sought after.

Blue Fluted Full Lace is a declaration to porcelain-making skills. Its open-work lace border is carefully created, with each individual hole delicately outlined by hand.


CONDITION There is a firing flaw to the base of one of the feet,  as shown. Otherwise, in excellent condition showing little further sign of use or wear. 1st quality.

SIZE The cup measures approx. 6.5cm/2½" in diameter and 6cm/2¼" high. The saucer is approx. 12.5cm/5" in diameter at the widest point.
 
MAKERS MARKS Appropriately marked with the Royal Copenhagen backstamp dating it to c.1900.
