Beautifully made small format book with cream cloth and all edges gilt. With explanatory pictorial leaflet giving a brief biography of Beatrix Potter and the history of the publication of the book. Contained in a hinged box with a leather foil-blocked bookmark specific to the centenary of this book.

This is copy number 39. Contained in original brown packaging box. The writing on one end of the brown box was done by the manufacturer, they are all marked like this. The set is in excellent condition. The outer brown packing box has some wear.
