Description
The solid 44.2mm diameter three-body case, downturned lugs, and stepped angled bezel are polished; the transparent skeleton display sapphire case back is secured with 6 screws. The dial is blue with white gold feuille hands and applied Arabic numeral hour markers, and outer dot minute markers. There is a contrasting subsidiary dial for the small seconds and the day of the week at 9 o'clock, a dial for the month at 6 o'clock, and a Northern and Southern hemisphere moon phase display at the 12 o'clock position. There is a 7-day up-and-down indication sub dial at 3 o'clock, and an aperture window for the 4-digit year is between 7 and 8 o'clock. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and it has a power reserve of 7 days at full wind. The 15.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
The automatic self-winding IWC caliber 51614 movement is rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 62 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The skeletonized rotor contains the gold medallion inlay engraved "IWC - Probus Scafusia."
The moon phase display on the Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, Reference 5023, is a grand-scale theatre on a tiny stage. Attended by a cluster of embossed stars, the moon rises behind the hemispherical cut-out on the left and waxes to full moon in the centre, before disappearing on the right-hand side. IWC’s design engineers have calculated that the moon phase display deviates from the duration of the moon’s actual course by just 1 day in 577.5 years. No one has
so far noticed the difference. In other respects, this elegant up-to-the-minute timepiece leaves virtually no wish unfulfilled with its perpetual calendar, window showing the year in four digits and a 7-day automatic movement with the Pellaton winding system and a power reserve display.

Return Policy
All sales are final. Please check to make sure that the watch you are purchasing is the make and model which you are looking for. We are here to assist you in your buying process! Under special circumstances and we agree to accept the return of the item purchased, there will be a 10% restocking fee.
The customer is responsible for all freight charges for items returned back to us. We recommend a carrier with a tracking number to verify package delivery. Insurance is highly recommended for the return package.
All returns not accepted will be mailed back to the customer, at the customer's expense, via fully insured overnight shipping.
The shipping charges both ways is covered by the purchaser.
