Magnet does not stick anywhere .. it is either silver or quadruple plate. Base, feet & ring given a light polish, careful not to remove all of the beautifully dark contrasting areas. Black silver oxidation was removed & this polished up well. Most all of ring & base have a shiny lux finish as you can view in our photos .. it's an impressively charming display. We found no makers mark. Closely resembles Meriden quadruplate silver or other fine quality silver manufacturers.
