For sale is a very nice black 2007 Citroen C6 executive with black leather interior.  The car passed the MOT at the end of March without any advisories so was in good health with just over 97k miles. Overall condition is good for year without any major dents or scrapes.

The C6 was years ahead when it was launched with features like heads-up display, lane change warning, 9 airbags (non have been used) special protection for pedestrians, turning headlights, speed sensitive 2 stage rear spoiler etc etc as standard. It's a car that's not often spotted on the road and I will be sorry to see it go.

Yesterday the car suddenly backfired badly but managed to get me the last couple miles into work albeit under reduced power.  Once the car was parked and the engine switched off it didn't want to turn over with the starter motor (as if the battery was empty). I didn't hear any nasty knocks or rattles when I parked the car. There is plenty of oil in the engine and I suspect that the cambelt has slipped or snapped once the engine was turned off. I would like to stress that this is my assumption at the moment and it has not been verified. I would assume that the best case is a new cam belt if there is no internal damage in the engine, worst case it will need another engine which is not too difficult to get.

I just have too many projects on the go to repair this at the moment, if the car doesn't sell I will park it and do the repairs sometime in the future.

The price of £1,000 is firm as I do still value the car and ideally would like to get it back on the road.

JUST TO BE CLEAR THE CAR DOESN'T START OR DRIVE AT THE MOMENT AND NEEDS TO BE TRANSPORTED AWAY. AS IT'S AN AUTOMATIC IT CAN'T BE TOWED. POWER STEERING AND BRAKE ASSISTANCE DO NOT WORK WITHOUT THE ENGINE RUNNING.
