This original set design by Eugene Lee, known for his work on Saturday Night Live, is a unique piece of Americana history. 

INCLUDES THE PAGE SHOWN ON THE REVERSE OF THE FRAME THAT SHOWS THE CAST AND OTHER DETAILS ABOUT THE PRODUCTION. THIS ITEM IS AN ESTATE FIND AND HAS NOT BEEN APPRAISED. Frame also included. The sketch has some wrinkles but no tears or stains.

Created in 1968 for the play "Years Of The Locust" with ink on paper, it features intricate details and a theme of theater. The set is being sold as a complete set and is perfect for any art collection. Biography: Eugene Edward Lee was born inBeloit, Wisconsin.[3][4]He attendedBeloit Memorial High School, had aBFAeach from theGoodman School of Dramaat theArt Institute of Chicago(now atDePaul University) andCarnegie Mellon University, anMFAfrom theYale School of Drama[5]and three honorary Ph.Ds. He ,Sweeney Todd, andWicked, as well as theDrama Desk Award for Outstanding Set Design. Lee's other New York theatre work included onAmazing Grace,[6]Alice in Wonderland,The Normal Heart,Agnes of God,Ragtime,Uncle Vanya,Ruby Sunrise,Bounce, andA Number. His film credits includeCoppola'sHammett, Huston'sMr. Northand Malle'sVanya on 42nd Street. His work on the musicalCandideat theChelsea Theater Centerof Brooklyn and on Broadway are chronicled in great detail inDavi Napoleon's book,Chelsea on the Edge: The Adventures of an American Theater. The book also describes his work onSlave Shipand other productions at the Chelsea.
