The Compagnie des guides de Chamonix is an organization that brings together more than 200 mountain professionals (high mountain guides and mountain guides). Its vocation is to allow its customers to experience a human and sporting adventure in the mountains while guaranteeing them adequate safety standards. Initially focused on mountaineering, it has diversified and today offers a wide range of mountain activities (mountain climbing, climbing, skiing, hiking, white water, tree climbing) intended for a wide audience: individual, collective and business. Most of its activities take place in the Mont-Blanc massif. Founded in 1821, it is the oldest and largest guiding company in the world.
History
The Chamonix Guides Company was born from a municipal deliberation of July 24, 18211. It is then a relief fund to help the families of missing guides. The Mont Blanc expedition
