1982-1988 Monte SS Camaro Corvette Cutlass NOS wheel nuts 9591700

Product Description

NOS genuine GM wheel nuts, part number 9591700.

There are notes in the various GM parts books about substituting different part numbers (styles) of these wheel nuts, telling the dealerships that they might want to consider getting full sets of these when ordering for a customer so that all the nuts on the car matched exactly, since there were slight differences.

GM superseded one of the first part numbers 14046906 to 9591664 in April 1992, and then superseded 9591664 to 9591700 in July 1996. Both times they superseded the old part numbers, the new part numbers were already existing numbers, so they were just consolidating older numbers into the newer ones.

With a situation like this, it is almost impossible to tell exactly when which one was used on which model, unless you have a parts book from each Model/Division they were used on, and one from every single year affected, since GM removed part numbers from their parts books when they were discontinued. A 1993 printing of a parts book referencing, say, 1984 or 1985 models will only have 9591664 or 9591700 part numbers in it (even depending on the MONTH the book was printed), and 14046906 will have disappeared, and the models using ANY of those numbers will have been consolidated. Can be quite confusing at times.

These were used on both aluminum cast wheels and steel Rally wheels, as they were used for appearance (the black cap).

I did include a couple of pictures of all three styles of these nuts together, but only for your reference. Only the two round-top nuts are in this auction - I have already sold the other two nuts in the pictures in another auction.

As mentioned, it's pretty hard to sort out which cars used which, so you should just decide by appearance if these are the correct ones for your car, or whether you should keep looking. This is a list of cars that used any of the three part numbers over the years:

  • 1986 Buick Riviera
  • 1982 - 1988 Chevrolet Camaro
  • 1983 - 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with SS package
  • 1984 Chevrolet Corvette
  • 1984 - 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity with Eurosport package
  • 1987 - 1988 Chevrolet Corsica or Beretta
  • 1984 - 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
  • 1986 - 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass (possibly the Hurst package?)
  • 1983 Pontiac J2000

Again, I only have TWO of these nuts, the 9591700's. The 9591664 and 14046906 are sold and gone. 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989

Shipping - Payment

A few words to make things easier.

1. Combined shipping for multiple auctions is always available, but when the auction is over, you will have to wait until I revise things in my eBay "paperwork" to create just one invoice for all your purchased auctions.  And I have to do the revising BEFORE you pay.  If auctions are paid separately (i.e. before you receive my invoice combining items), eBay will no longer then let me combine them on one invoice.  AND, eBay then automatically charges you separate shipping charges for each item, which is not refunded.  Again, this is eBay's set-up.  Combining auctions benefits you by saving you shipping and handling fees.

2. Payment is expected within 3 days.  After 8 days, I will file with eBay to have my auction fees refunded.  If there is a problem with 3 days, please let me know, as I am not unreasonable, and I know that things happen.  Just be aware that having been on eBay full-time for several years has already afforded me an opportunity to hear a lot of "creative" stories.

Thanks for your bid.
