Lightly used and close to complete! All the important parts are there, and the important parts are new! As in engine has been tested and runs forward and reverse with light. Runs dry and needs lube and cleaning. The train accessories look to have never been opened. Slot cars have no wear, and they have white back wheels. What does show use and wear (besides the set box) is the track, supports, and slot car controllers. In the second picture is a list of contents on the box. Set released during the 1970's.
For the train set, the only thing missing is 2 pieces of track (11 curves, terminal rerailer curve, 2 straights. Says 16 pcs. RH switch does not match set.) Everything else is there and in new condition including the engine which has been tested.
For the slot car set, it is listed to be 18 pier supports. I counted 6 tall, 3 medium, 1 short, 4 red, and 2 grey (16 total). This is an odd count and some don't match so unsure on what is original or not. I assume the 4 struts are missing too. I did not count the crash barriers. There are two packs. There is also 8 flagpoles and unused paper for making the flags. The flags are part of the barrier count. Everything else is there and the cars appear to be in new condition given no wear.
