The Datalogic Magellan 1500i is the omni-directional presentation scanner for every POS. Datalogic has equipped the innovative space-saving imager with modern scanning technology, among others with their patented »Green Spot«. In addition to capturing hard-to-read, damaged and short printed 1D and 2D barcodes, it also reliably and quickly captures digital barcodes from smartphones or tablets (such as admission tickets and vouchers). Optionally, the Magellan 1500i also reads Digimarc barcodes, making it a highly versatile scanner. The Magellan has a scanning range of up to 30 cm.

With its motion sensor the Magellan 1500i immediately recognises when an object enters its scan radius and automatically increases the lighting intensity, to capture the article as quickly as possible. At the same time it reduces reflections and flickering, noticeably saving time and increasing productivity.

Use the Magellan 1500i either in handheld or presentation mode. If a product to be captured is too heavy to lift, the Magellan 1500i instantly recognises when it gets picked up, and activates its LEDs for capturing in handheld mode. Once placed back in the cradle, it automatically switches back to presentation mode.

The Magellan is available in timeless black and white. Thus, it wonderfully fits into retail and shipping branch offices, yet it also makes an excellent impression in pharmacies and elegant boutiques. Another plus is its footprint: with a mere 6 x 7.5 x 10.6 cm it is the size of your palm – perfect for the POS with limited space.

Operate the Datalogic Magellan 1500i intuitively. It signals successful scans acoustically as well as via a status LED located on the top. Connect it via USB (HID or VCOM), OEM (IBM) and RS-232. The Magellan 1500i has IP52 certification, withstands falls from 1.2 m and even reliably captures in 95% humidity.
