Personally, i've always loved cassettes. Like many people born in the '60s I started my personal musical journey in the early '70s with a cassette recorder and a pre-recorded cassette (It was a Neil Diamond's 'Beautiful Noise' for Christmas '76 - which still sounds brilliant, so stop laughing!) and so am always happy to offer them for sale. As an old punk (1979 vintage) cassettes also evoke a spirit of DIY rebellion in me and I have fond memories of trading tapes of anarcho punk bands with other punks Worldwide as they were cheap to buy, easy to copy and cheap to send. Tens of thousands of bands started by badly recording their music through a condesor mic onto tape and quite a few of these bands ended up on Crass's Bullsh*t Detector compilation albums in all their lo-fi glory. These compilation albums have recently been remastered but I can't imagine how you will improve the original sound of these tapes and not actually sure if they should've been. Anyway, I digress, I hope this cassette brings you pleasure - whether you listen to it on a high tech player, a walkman or just to display as a sign of hipster grooviness. You do you, and that's fine by me. Oh, and keep a pencil handy - you know why.
