In my continued effort to clear my dining room, I present this German Caneware picnic basket. The handles do not move, but it appears they had paint on just the handles at one time. It is 3 inches tall and 4.25 inches lengthwise.. The edges in excellent shape as shown and I can find no damage to the piece. The opening is 9.25 inches by 6.25 inches standing 4.24 inches. The letters FCW are present on the base with 780, which is likely a pattern number. This miniature basket is so charming, you know it was the pride of a young lady's dressing table 170 years ago.   It missing being the center of attention and desperately wants to be in a home where it will be loved and appreciated.  I know that many do not consider the German caneware as highly as the English-but this piece is extraordinary.

Please understand that the low price is to stimulate interest and hopefully bids.  I have to move dishes on. AND I DO COMBINE SHIPPING. DO NOT PAY EBAY INVOICES-I will bill you after the auction so I can combine shipping-eBay does not do that well

Half of my porcelain collection has got to go. Please look at the photos-there is a lot of detail in them. I will pack this as thoroughly as I can.  If this is damaged when you receive it, I would like documentation of the damage.  Then I will re-imburse you when I receive it back in the condition shown in your photos.  No less will be accepted or reimbursed.  I will not reimburse if you change your mind - that is your prerogative - not mine.

Please write me with questions so there are no mis-understandings.   I combine shipping costs if requested.  If you expected perfection after 230 years, my items are not for you.  I have become too chipped and battered in just 60 years to be judgmental, and these pieces of porcelain looks far better than I do anyway!
