Very clean glass, bright and shiny with....AMAZINGLY FOR A CARL ZEISS LENS...........NO SEPARATION!!!!! Clearly they must have pirated some of the Goerz workers to help make their lenses as the normal Carlos Zeiss product is full of optical bad surprises like balsam separation. This is a symmetrical(each cell the same focal length) model, an earlier iteration was convertible like the later series VII. The cells, they have near consecutive serial numbers 330 and 333. The barrels are a tad over an inch and a 1/4. some bracing as to be expected.

Have a look at my other photo bits up for sale today :-)

Anything seen in the images is considered as described.

Just out of curiosity I popped these cells into a crappy sluggish prontor shutter to see what coverage might be. COMBINED the cells make a 5 1/2" lens so these cells must be the earlier convertible series IV and NOT the later wide angle. The cells covered 5x7 with ease, you night get some movement out of them but since its a 5 1/2" lens I wouldn't expect 8x10 coverage, maybe 5x7 with a tad. The single cells aren't too bad, better than most series VII's. If you want the shutter just add $20 and let me know before I ship. The shutter has a retaining ring and the speeds are draggy at best so give it a spritz with some MAF cleaner and it might improve.
